FITC ANTI-RABIES MONOCLONAL GLOBULIN

General Details

FITC (fluorescein isothiocyanate) is a fluorochrome dye that absorbs ultraviolet or blue light causing the molecules to excite and emit a visible yellow-green light. This emission stops when the excitation-producing light is removed. Fluorochrome labeling provides rapid, accurate localization of antigen-antibody interactions when a reactant is part of a cell, tissue, or other biological structure. FITC is a commonly used marker for antibodies in immunofluorescent techniques because the conjugation of FITC to proteins is relatively easy and usually does not destroy the biological activity of the labeled protein. FITC is widely used as a hapten to label various proteins. Antibodies to FITC are used as models to identify FITC-labeled proteins and to study the mechanism of antibody response to a well-defined hapten.
Specialty
The antibody reacts with both free and conjugated fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC).
The mouse monoclonal clone FL-D6 anti-FITC antibody will react with either free or conjugated FITC. The antibody does not react with bound or free TRITC (tetramethylrhodamine isothiocyanate).

Application

The mouse monoclonal clone FL-D6 anti-FITC antibody can be used as a universal indicator reagent for FITC detection and for bridging FITC with other immunochemical reagents. It can be used in ELISA, competitive ELISA and immunofluorescent techniques. A FITC anti-FITC system has been used in immunofluorescent detection, in the amplification of signals and as a means to separate bound from free tracers by affinity chromatography. Antibodies can also be used to isolate cells that have a FITC-labeled ligand on their surface.

Why sequence your own monoclonal antibody (mAb)?
Patent Application – If you plan to obtain a patent for your mAb, antibody sequencing will be necessary to differentiate your novel antibody from others.
Antibody recombination – to determine the sequence of the mAb, the cDNA of your antibody can be isolated from a hybridoma cell line and its subcloning and expression in mammalian cells.
Antibody humanization – Antibody sequence data is essential for any antibody engineering or humanization development.

Oak Biosciences provides fast and reliable cloning and sequencing services for monoclonal antibodies. Our unique technology allows us to sequence your antibodies from any antibody-producing cell line (hybridoma, peripheral blood lymphocytes, B-cells, spleen cells or bone marrow), and from different species (mouse, rat, hamster, rabbit, chicken). allows. camels, cartilaginous fish, humans and other primates). The service can be tailored to specific parameters, ranging from variable regions or domains to full-length antibody sequencing.

FDI FITC anti-rabies monoclonal globulin is used in the direct fluorescent antibody process for in vitro detection of rabies in the brain and vertebral glands. The direct fluorescent antibody test under the humerus is the best single test available for the diagnosis of rabies. Studies have shown that the fluorescent antibody method may be more sensitive than the mouse inoculation test for detecting rabies, however, the results of the two tests are 99–100% correlated.
